About Dr. Frank McCormick
Dr. Frank McCormick is a board-certified sports medicine orthopedic surgeon specializing in arthroscopic treatment of the shoulder, hip and knee, with further sub-specialization in sports medicine and cartilage and joint preservation.
He earned his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania, completed his orthopedics residency at Harvard, and finished a shoulder, knee and sports medicine fellowship at Rush University. He has received over twenty research awards and published over one hundred peer-reviewed papers, earning national and international recognition for his clinical research.
Dr. McCormick served as an F/A-18 fighter jet flight surgeon for the United States Marine Corps and is currently commissioned as a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy Reserve. He has served as assistant team physician for the Chicago Bulls (NBA) and the Chicago White Sox (MLB).
